Guest Vendors' Procedures
 

(How to get a space as a guest vendor at the market)

Check in from 7:00 AM to 7:40 AM.
- There will be a designated ‘sign in’ table identified for this purpose.

There is no need to come before 7:00 AM. Space assignments will be determined by a lottery system to establish the order of space assignment. If you come earlier, you will just stand around.
- If you have special needs, please state this at time of check in and consideration to those needs will be given for space assignment. No promise is made that the market will be able to meet special requests!
- There will be no ‘list’ or ‘who was there first’ as there had been in the past. First consideration of space assignments will go to artists and crafters residing in Western Montana. Remaining spaces will be assigned to Western Montana importers second.
- Present your Montana resident identification and proof of ALL your product items to be vended. (Pictures or actual product) This is to determine if you will be classified as craft or non-craft status for the lottery.
- Pay the $15.00 Vendor space fee for the day. (Make checks to the Missoula Saturday Market.) Keep this receipt available to show the market coordinator, if requested.
You will need to be present at 8:00 AM to be assigned a space.
- From 8:05 - 8:15 (approximately) the market attendant will draw names and assign spaces. The time will be determined by the Courthouse clock. If the Courthouse clock is not functioning, time will be determined by the market attendent.

If you are not present, your space will be given away, and you will receive a refund.
- Due to the need for this process to happen in a timely manner, the market attendant will determine which space the guest vendor will be placed in. (Again, if you have special needs, please state this at time of check in and consideration to those needs will be given for space assignment. No promise is made that the market will be able to meet special requests!)
- Article I, Section 8 of the Bylaws states: “If there is available space not taken by Members, Guests will be allowed to sell appropriate items at the market without becoming Members by paying the daily rate set by the Board of Directors for the space used. Each Guest must agree in writing to be bound by the Bylaws of the Corporation and the Market Rules prior to rental of his or hers space.”
You must sign this form when you receive your space assignment!
Refunds
- There will be NO refund of the space fee unless the market was unable to assign you a space. Refunds will be issued between 8:15 AM and 8:45 AM only. You will need your copy of your receipt.
Set-Up
- Set up time for guest vendors begins at 8:15 (approximately) The market begins at 9:00 AM.

The space is 10x10. If you require less space, it is your responsibility to connect with another guest vendor to share a space with, at check-in. When sharing a space, each guest vendor still pays the $15 fee.
